TURCK has released washdown versions of its sensors with high temperature ratings, designed for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
The uprox+ Factor 1 sensors are IP 69k rated and can withstand temperatures from negative 40 to 100 degrees Celsius. According to the company, they are resilient to the high-pressure cleaning agents found in the industrial sector.
The sensors have a stainless steel construction and a liquid crystal polymer front cap to resist moisture ingress. They also incorporate a polypropylene cable jacket said to stand up to harsh chemicals and extreme temperatures.
The sensors detect all metals including non-ferrous metals such as stainless steel. They are also said to have longer sensing ranges and the same rated distance for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
