JAVAC has released a new version of its portable leak detector for refrigerants.
According to the company, the latest version of the Tek-Mate has a soft touch operational pad which allows users to control the unit with a single hand. The pad allows the unit to be switched on and off, as well as for detection levels to be selected.
The leak detector uses heated-diode sensor technology. This is said to resist dirt, water, oil and other contaminants, a trait which the manufacturers claim to be very useful in the maintenance industry.
The unit is equally sensitive to CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs, so different refrigerants can be detected without resetting or switching. It has an audible signal and flashing LED to help pinpoint leaks.
The detector also has an automatic background compensation feature which continuously monitors and automatically compensates for background noise.
