SKF Group confiscates 30t of counterfeit bearings in Czech raid

SKF Group says it has worked with the Czech police to make a raid and confiscate over 30t of counterfeit SKF bearings in the north east region of the Czech Republic.

According to SKF Group, the unauthorised dealer was purchasing the counterfeit bearings from non-SKF sources and selling them to both end-users and other dealers in the Czech Republic as well as other countries, mainly in Europe.

SKF Group says the manufacture and trade of counterfeit products is not only illegal, but can also put the customer at risk.

SKF Group warns the use of counterfeit SKF products in an application can in worst case put the user, employees and the public in a serious safety risk. Equipment may also suffer from shorter service life, poor product quality or damage.
