FLUID Components International, distributed by AMS Instrumentation & Calibration, has released the FlexSwitch FLT93S flow switch which detects leaks to prevent damage to gas compressors.
According to Fluid Components International, the FlexSwitch FLT93S flow switch is suited for process and plant engineers who need to monitor fugitive emissions from compressors, pressure relief valves, pumps and other gas flowing components.
The FlexSwitch FLT93S flow switch is said to have high sensitivity, with the ability to detect and alarm on very low flow, providing fast response leak monitoring and detection of gas flows.
Fluid Components International claims the early warning and process shut-down signals means the FlexSwitch FLT93S flow switch is a plant preventative maintenance and safety tool. It can prevent damage to expensive components and their processes, as well as reduce the probability of accidents.
Fluid Components International says the FlexSwitch FLT93S flow switch is easy to install, as it is an insertion-style instrument with dual 6A relays, which are user settable for any HI, LO, HI/HI or LO/LO detection and trip scenario.
The FlexSwitch FLT93S flow switch operates over a wide gas flow sensitivity range from 0.08 to 37 SMPS. Accuracy is ±0.5 percent of reading or 0.06 NMPS. The standard configuration withstands operating temperatures from -40 to 177°C, and an optional configuration is available for temperatures from -73 to 454°C.
