THIRTEEN electricians and maintenance workers from National Foods’ Chelsea Heights milk processing plant are maintaining their fortnight-long strike, insisting on a pay rise.According to the Electrical Trades Union, negotiations over a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement broke down. The company had wanted to change the roster for workers which could have seen them doing additional weekend and night shifts. The union says the workers have gone without a pay rise for two years, and the proposed rosters would have put a strain on families.National Foods refused to comment on the continuing action.
