Diamond chainsaw provides quick access
KENNARDS Concrete Care is offering a new diamond chainsaw for hire, claiming it can cut through double brick, reinforced concrete, masonry and rock to a depth of 350mm.
The chainsaw is said to feature swift penetration, and can flush cut and cut square corners for relatively precision cutting.
Petrol-powered and hydraulic-powered versions are available, and the company claims the saws are ideal for opening new windows and doors, or access holes to equipment and control panels.
It can also be used to cut kerbs and guttering, penetrate pits, and power through pipes and rock.
The diamond chainsaw is said to be versatile and has less moving parts than a ring saw, eliminating the need for pre-cutting. The hydraulic version weighs 12.4kg and operates with 15hp at 5500rpm. The petrol version weighs 12.5kg and has a two stroke 6.5hp engine running at 8700rpm.
