POLEX Environmental Engineering has installed a dust collector at Blue Mountains Kitchens, to extract fine timber dust generated from five woodworking machines.
Polex says it designed, supplied and installed a modular shaker bag type dust collector, with 4500 cubic metres per hour airflow capacity, 40sqm filter area, and a 7.5kW centrifugal fan.
The waste is discharged into a two 120L bins positioned under the dust collector. The system was sized to extract through two machines in operation simultaneously.
Polex Environmental Engineering says its modular shaker dust collectors are constructed from folded and bolted 1.5mm thick galvanised sheetmetal panels. The Polex dust collectors are said to have smooth internal surfaces to minimise dust hang-up in the hopper.
The dust collector legs are fabricated from heavy Square Hollow Section (SHS) steel as standard, making them suitable for heavy duty industrial sites. All Polex dust collectors are structurally certified to withstand high wind loadings.
