XENON has released a pre-aseptic room disinfectant system which eliminates bio-contaminate from packages.The SteriPulse RS-3000 aseptic sanitisation system uses ultraviolet (UV) light to sanitise the surface of boxes, bags and carts.Pulsed UV light does not require heat or chemicals, and is said to be able to achieve four-log kill in less than a second. According to the company, this makes it suitable for high-speed in-line conveyor systems.The system is modular and components include lamps, a controller and a power supply.
