Push-pull force detection system

push-pull force detection system (PPDS) to monitor conditions in large energy chain systems.TREOTHAM Automation has released in Australia the Igus push-pull force detection system (PPDS) to monitor conditions in large energy chain systems.
The system is already being used in numerous applications internationally.
The PPDS aims to avoid damage and failure of the energy chain system by monitoring the push-pull forces. This allows it to alert workers to carry out correct and timely maintenance and intervention.
It uses an online monitoring system to protect against mechanical damage. The control component has selectable parameters for monitoring, emergency system switch-off during overloads, and a data logger for up to 40,000 entries.
The system will shut down if a pre-determined maximum value is exceeded, although an upgrade is possible to allow for remote intervention.
