The company expanded the milling circuit, endowing it with the ability to process an additional 25% ore feed. The upgraded plant is in the final stages of commissioning, according to the resources business.
The expanded circuit is said to remove bottlenecks from the old circuit, providing the grinding power to mill additional materials and harder ores.
The new circuit consists of a new 1700kW tertiary ball mill and associated pumping and classification equipment, together with primary SAG milling pebble extraction and trash screening.
The $12m project was contracted out to Abesque Engineering and Construction.
