Maintenance strike disrupts dairy operations

MAINTENANCE employees at
Murray Goulburn’s Victorian factories are taking industrial action, disrupting production.
The work ban is said to be impairing the processing of milk, and could represent substantial financial losses to the business.
Murray Goulburn, a dairy co-operative, says while it is working to reduce disruption, these losses could be passed on to dairy farm shareholders.
The maintenance workers are striking over pay and conditions at the facilities.
