Maintenance planning and scheduling forum to be held in Melbourne

SIRF Rt will be holding the third Planning4Reliability forum in Melbourne on 24 and 25 March 2009.
Planned and scheduled maintenance reduces unplanned downtime, disruption to operations and interruptions to production. This could provide cost savings and maximise production, according to the organisers.
The forum will provide a platform for attendees to meet and network on best practices and proven methods in maintenance planning and scheduling. Practitioners will talk about what works and what does not, using real life case studies to provide maintenance ideas.
There will be over 15 presentations, and an exhibition of industry-specific solutions. Attendees will be able to choose between two streams.
There will also be a post-conference workshop with Doc Palmer, who is the US-based author of the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Handbook.
