GRA to run spares management course for Malaysians

AUSTRALIA’S
GRA is helping Malaysian factory operators effectively manage their spares for efficient maintenance planning, scheduling and reliability improvements.
GRA co-founder Carter McNabb will be conducting an interactive two-day MRO Spares Optimisation course in Kuala Lumpur from 11 to 12 November 2008.
According to the company, modern spares management is becoming more complex. Plant operations need to find solutions which will help synchronise the processes. Although spares are a significant business expense, the lack of appropriate parts can result in even more costly downtime.
Participants will learn about different spares management methodologies, as well as various practical skills.
Proper scheduling can reduce inventory replenishment purchase orders. Re-organising inventory space can help eliminate obsolete and surplus stock. Planning spares efficiently can increase reliability and reduce the risk of downtime.
The course will include case studies for bencmarking purposes.
