FAE to support underwater maintenance robots

ROVs are underwater robots which are used for constructing sub-sea developments, inspecting structures and plants underwater, and for maintenance work.ZICOM’S subsidiary Foundation Associate Engineering (FAE) has expanded its scope, and will now design and fabricate offshore structures for diving and remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs).
ROVs are underwater robots which are used for constructing sub-sea developments, inspecting structures and plants underwater, and for maintenance work.
According to Zicom, this development was a natural extension of the company’s business, which leases foundation equipment to both the offshore and land-based construction companies.
FAE will continue its primary business of manufacturing, selling and leasing foundation equipment for construction purposes.
The company claims the engineering and maintenance sector for sub-seas offshore structures is expected to be strong and sustainable.
