Chemical-free water treatment

EIMCO Water Technologies will introduce its environmentally friendly hydro-optic disinfection (HOD) process for treating industrial wastewater to Australia.
According to the water treatment group, the HOD process was originally developed by Atlantium Technologies, is chemical-free and leaves no disinfection by-products. The process replaces traditional disinfection methods with chlorine, ozone and pasteurisation.
The company claims its technology has already been adopted by some of the world’s leading food and beverage manufacturers, including a few Australian companies.
It aims to bring the solution to a wider industrial customer base in Australia, and says it has a broad range of potential applications. Currently the food, beverage and aquaculture industries lead the adoption of the technology.
