The focus will be on boiler selection, safety and legal obligations on maintaining boilers of all sizes, with additional focus on the nuts and bolts of boiler design.THE BOILERS and Furnaces Conference is calling for paper submissions from professionals involved with environmental control systems, plant management and operation.

The conference will be held in Perth on 25 and 26 November 2008. According to organisers, it will be highly practical so attendees can gain access to the most up-to-date information and understanding of the design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and management of boiler plants.

The focus will be on boiler selection, safety and legal obligations on maintaining boilers of all sizes, with additional focus on the nuts and bolts of boiler design.

There has been an increasing focus in recent times on whether the plant demands of modern day power plants are being met within the confines of environmental restrictions.

According to the organiser, the conference will provide the knowledge necessary to tackle environment related issues in boilers and also update engineers on the latest boiler technologies which ensure environmental compliance.

The basic practices of instrumentation, controls systems and safety controls for boilers will also be examined. Burner management systems and flame safety sytems will also be discussed.

It is hoped the event will allow delegates to work with, troubleshoot and design workable boiler systems.

100 word abstracts for papers to be presented at the conference should be sent to the conference coordinator via the contact link below by 8 August 2008, with the full paper to be submitted by 15 October 2008.
